At Vedic Center and Patashala the Vedas are taught systematically under the pedagogic principles of the age-old “gurukul” system of education. The Center will lodge a building which resonates with Vedic chants and “sutras” once it comes up. The main purpose of the Center is to preserve and propagate the value of Vedas to the present and coming generation.
The Patashala will conduct classes in Yajur Veda, and there will be periodic exams to gauge the progress of the pupils. The language of instruction is Sanskrit and the students' converse in both local language and Sanskrit. English and Math are taught optionally and the students are given lessons in yoga to enhance concentration and attain equanimity of mind.
Everyday classes will start in the morning and students go through a rigorous training in Vedas imbibing the moral philosophy and etiquette embedded in the Holy Scriptures. Apart from studies, students are given time for sports and recreation, including Yoga and Meditation. Tuition, food, clothing and medical care are given free of charge by the Pathshala.
Apart from teaching the Vedas, the Pathshala will engage in numerous activities to spread the message of the Vedas in the modern world. The center will also have constant co-ordination with like-minded organizations in India. The center will also conduct seminars and symposiums regularly to impart Vedic knowledge to common man. The centre will also involve in humanitarian work to uphold the interests of the impoverished and the old. An Old age Home as well as an orphanage to be set up in partnership with NGOs involved in these matters. In future, the Pathshala will be upgraded to a unique Vedic University.
The design of this campus is unique that integrates itself with the above ideas, and the development is done on sustainable ecologically friendly environment.
